Safety and personal protective equipment (PPE) covers the wearable and deployable products that shield workers from injury across construction, manufacturing, oil and gas, utilities, and process industries. For EU and GCC buyers, this category is governed primarily by the EU PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425, which sorts equipment into three risk categories and sets the conformity route accordingly. It is one of the most standards-dense families a sourcing team will encounter, and matching the right certification to the application is usually more important than headline price.

The range spans head protection (EN 397, EN 12492), eye and face protection (EN 166), hearing protection (EN 352), respiratory protection (EN 149, EN 140/143), hand protection (EN 388, EN 374), foot protection (EN ISO 20345), fall-protection systems (EN 361, EN 363), body protection and workwear (EN ISO 13688 plus hazard-specific standards), fire-safety equipment (EN 3 extinguishers, EN 469 firefighter kit), and emergency or workplace-safety products such as eyewash stations and ISO 3864 signage. Many items also carry recognised ANSI/ISEA equivalents (Z89.1, Z87.1, S3.19, Z358.1) where buyers serve mixed export markets.

Under Regulation 2016/425, Category I (minimal risk) products are self-certified by the manufacturer; Category II requires EU type-examination by a notified body; and Category III (risks of death or irreversible harm) adds ongoing production surveillance. Each product line is tested to its family EN standard, marked with the relevant pictograms and performance codes, and supplied with a Declaration of Conformity.

Himalay's verified manufacturer partners supply PPE with test reports and certificates of conformity, CE marking under PPE Regulation 2016/425 (with notified-body type-examination where the category requires it), RoHS/REACH declarations on applicable components, and SABER (Saudi Arabia) coordinated as part of the standard order flow; batch traceability or third-party lab testing arranged where specified.
