Fire Safety Equipment
Fire-safety equipment covers portable fire extinguishers, fire blankets, hose reels, firefighter protective clothing and related detection and suppression accessories used to prevent, contain and fight fires. It serves construction, industrial, commercial, marine and oil-and-gas buyers across the EU and GCC, where building and civil-defence codes drive demand for certified product.
Portable extinguishers are governed in Europe by the EN 3 series, which classifies them by fire class (A solid, B liquid, C gas, D metal, F cooking oil), agent (water, foam, dry powder, CO2, wet chemical) and rating (for example 13A 89B), with marking and performance requirements; wheeled units fall under EN 1866. Fire blankets follow EN 1869, hose reels EN 671, and firefighter personal protective clothing EN 469, with helmets to EN 443 and gloves to EN 659. Note that firefighter PPE under EN 469 is Category III equipment, while many extinguishers also carry approvals such as MED (marine) or CE pressure-equipment marking. The recognised North American frameworks include UL and NFPA 10. Buyers serving mixed markets often request both.
Extinguisher bodies are deep-drawn or welded steel, internally and externally coated, with brass or composite valve heads, gauges and discharge hoses; firefighter garments use multi-layer aramid with moisture barrier and thermal liner. Selectable options include agent and capacity, mounting brackets, vehicle or marine variants, and language-specific labelling.
