- What is a realistic MOQ for crop protection chemicals?
- Typical MOQ for technical actives starts at drum or partial-container quantities; finished formulations move by pallet or container. Volumes vary by active and formulation. Confirm registration status early, as approval often governs feasibility more than quantity.
- How does EU regulation affect importing these products?
- In the EU, plant protection products fall under Regulation (EC) 1107/2009 with national authorisation, separate from REACH; the active must be approved and the product authorised. CoA, SDS and CLP/GHS labelling are coordinated where required, with SABER for Saudi Arabia. Indian-side CIB&RC registration applies. Confirm status at inquiry.
- How are these chemicals packaged and shipped?
- Liquids ship in drums or IBCs; technical solids in lined bags, fibre drums or jars; finished products in cans, bottles or sachets. - Packed products typically run 4-8 weeks production plus CIF sea freight, with hazmat and registration documentation adding time. CIF to Rotterdam, Antwerp, Jebel Ali or Dammam is commonly 8-12 weeks door-to-door for standard consignments, longer where authorisation steps apply.
