Selective Herbicides
Selective herbicides control target weeds while leaving the cultivated crop largely unaffected, and are core inputs for cereal, rice, maize, sugarcane, and plantation programmes. They are sourced by EU and GCC buyers, distributors, and formulators who require well-defined product identity, active-ingredient content, and formulation type for their registered ranges.
Indian-origin selective herbicides are offered as technical-grade active ingredients and as finished formulations across common chemistries such as 2,4-D, atrazine, metribuzin, pendimethalin, sulfonylureas, and bispyribac-sodium. Products are specified commercially by active-ingredient identity, a.i. percentage, and formulation type, including wettable powder (WP), water-dispersible granule (WG), emulsifiable concentrate (EC), suspension concentrate (SC), and soluble liquid (SL). Representative grades include atrazine 50% WP, pendimethalin 30% EC, and metribuzin 70% WP. Technical purity for the active ingredient is stated on the specification, and Indian products are positioned with reference to CIB&RC registration status where relevant; this content is commercial only and excludes any usage, dosage, or application guidance.
Packaging is generally 1 L and 5 L bottles or cans for liquid formulations, and 100 g to 1 kg sachets or fibre drums for powders and granules, with technical material in drums.
For the EU, plant-protection products fall under Regulation (EC) 1107/2009 and the active-substance approval and product-authorisation regime, with CLP/GHS classification, SDS, and ADR/IMDG transport documentation coordinated where required, and SABER arranged for Saudi consignments. Himalay's verified manufacturer and exporter partners supply selective herbicides with CoA per batch, SDS, EU compliance coordinated for Europe, GHS labelling, and SABER for Saudi Arabia handled as part of the standard order flow.
