Contact Insecticides
Contact insecticides are crop-protection products whose active ingredient acts on target pests through direct contact, supplied to formulators, distributors, and agro-input importers rather than as application advice. Common active-ingredient families sourced from India include synthetic pyrethroids (cypermethrin, deltamethrin, lambda-cyhalothrin) and selected organophosphates, offered both as technical-grade material and as finished formulations. This category covers the commercial identity, active-ingredient content, formulation type, and packaging that a buyer specifies on a purchase order.
Grades and specifications centre on declared a.i. percentage and formulation code. Technical grade is characterised by minimum assay (often 90-97% a.i. depending on molecule) with impurity profile per the relevant CIPAC or FAO/WHO specification framework. Finished formulations are designated by international codes such as EC (emulsifiable concentrate), SC (suspension concentrate), WP (wettable powder), and WG (water-dispersible granule), each with a stated a.i. load (for example 10% EC, 2.5% EC, 5% SC). HS classification and CAS framing are provided on documentation rather than asserted here.
Packaging spans HDPE/COEX bottles (100 ml-1 L), jerricans (5-20 L) for liquids, and lined sacks or fibre drums for powders and granules, with bulk technical supplied in drums.
Compliance and logistics are coordinated where required: Indian-side CIB&RC registration of the source product, CoA per batch, SDS, GHS/CLP labelling for EU shipments, and ADR/IMDG transport classification with UN-number framing for regulated consignments. EU placement typically requires the importer's own product authorisation, which buyers manage on their side.
Himalay's verified manufacturer and exporter partners supply contact insecticides with CoA per batch, SDS, REACH/CLP compliance coordinated for EU, GHS labelling, and SABER for Saudi Arabia handled as part of the standard order flow.
