- As a rule of thumb, an integrated inline gearmotor suits coaxial layouts where compactness, a clean torque path and fewer alignment points matter — typically with high helical efficiency (around 94-96%) and ratios up to roughly 100:1. A separate motor plus reducer can be preferable where you need to standardise on a specific motor brand, swap motors in the field, or reuse existing motor inventory. The trade-off is integration and footprint versus modularity — share your duty and we can help weigh it.
- What's the typical MOQ for inline gearmotors?
- It varies with frame size and ratio. Small standard catalogue gearmotors usually carry higher MOQs, often in the 25-100 piece range per configuration, while larger industrial frames can start as low as 5-20 pieces. Consolidating mixed sizes under one spec package generally allows smaller quantities per line. Treat these as indicative pending a partner match to your specification.
- Which certifications and test reports are available?
- Where specified, partners can supply units under ISO 9001 with gear-rating to AGMA / ISO 6336 and integral motors built to IEC 60034, accompanied by efficiency (IE-class), load and running test reports and traceability. CE marking covering the Machinery Directive plus EMC and Low-Voltage Directive for the motor can be coordinated for EU shipments, and ATEX/IECEx execution arranged for hazardous areas. Scope is confirmed at inquiry stage.
- What motor frame, IE-class, voltage and mounting options can be specified?
- Integral motors are typically built to IEC frame sizes (with NEMA available) in efficiency class IE3 as standard and IE4 where required, for common voltages such as 230/400 V and 400/690 V at 50 Hz (60 Hz windings available), three-phase or single-phase on small frames. Mounting follows IEC 60072 conventions — B5 or B14 flange, foot, or shaft-mounted — with IP55/IP65 protection, optional brake, forced-cooling fan and inverter-duty insulation. Share your supply voltage and mounting and a partner is matched accordingly.
- Can you support OEM approvals and customisation?

- What lead time should I plan for?
- Standard catalogue gearmotors typically take around 4-8 weeks to build, test and pack; larger or inverter-duty/brake-motor configurations commonly run 8-14 weeks. Full CIF to Rotterdam, Antwerp, Jebel Ali or Dammam is generally 8-12 weeks door-to-door for standard product and 14-20 weeks for engineered specials, subject to confirmation.
