TPU Resins
TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) resins are high-performance elastomers prized for abrasion resistance, toughness, flexibility at low temperature, and resistance to oils and greases. Supplied as pellets for injection moulding, extrusion, blow moulding, and film, they are used in footwear soles, hoses and pneumatic tubing, cables and wire sheathing, breathable and protective films and laminates, conveyor and timing belts, seals, gaskets, and industrial wheels and rollers. TPU bridges the gap between rubber and rigid thermoplastics for demanding mechanical service.
Grades are framed by chemistry (polyester-based for mechanical strength and oil resistance, or polyether-based for hydrolysis resistance and low-temperature flexibility), Shore hardness (commonly Shore A 70-95 through Shore D), melt flow index (ASTM D1238 / ISO 1133), and density. Buyers also specify tensile and tear strength, abrasion resistance, transparency, and whether a hydrolysis-stabilised, UV-stabilised, or food-/skin-contact grade is required.
Packaging is generally moisture-barrier 25 kg bags or FIBC, since TPU is strongly hygroscopic; recommended pre-drying and storage parameters are provided as specification notes on the technical data sheet rather than handling instructions.
For EU import, REACH framing, CLP/GHS labelling, food-contact declarations referenced to EU 10/2011 where relevant, and SDS are coordinated where required; SABER/SASO routing is arranged for Saudi Arabia. HS code is provided on documentation.
Himalay's verified manufacturer and exporter partners supply TPU resins with CoA per batch (hardness, MFI, density), SDS, REACH/CLP compliance coordinated for EU, GHS labelling, and SABER for Saudi Arabia handled as part of the standard order flow.
