Random Copolymer PP
Random copolymer polypropylene (PP-R) is polypropylene with a small amount of randomly distributed ethylene comonomer, which lowers crystallinity to deliver improved clarity, gloss, low-temperature impact, and a lower, more flexible melting profile. It is widely used for transparent rigid packaging, thin-wall containers, medical and clarified articles, blow-moulded bottles, and notably PP-R hot-and-cold water plumbing pipe systems.
Grades are specified by melt-flow rate (MFR per ISO 1133 at 230 C/2.16 kg) and end-use family. Clarified injection grades (with nucleating/clarifying agents) maximise transparency for housewares and packaging; pipe-grade PP-R is classified for pressure and temperature service per relevant ISO/DIN pipe standards. Buyers specify clarity, impact, and any antistatic or stabiliser requirements. Food-contact-suitable grades carry EU 10/2011 and FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 declarations where required, which is common given food and beverage packaging end uses.
Forms are virgin granules; PCR/recycled PP-R is offered separately where circular content is specified. Packaging is typically 25 kg bags palletised, 500-1250 kg FIBC/jumbo bags, or octabins for bulk lines, with FCL consignments standard for EU and GCC importers.
For EU buyers, REACH registration is confirmed and an Only Representative pathway coordinated where required; CLP labelling and SDS accompany shipments, and SABER/SASO is arranged for Saudi Arabia. Himalay's verified manufacturer/exporter partners supply random copolymer PP with CoA per batch (MFR, clarity/pipe class where applicable), SDS, REACH/CLP compliance coordinated for EU, GHS labelling, and SABER for Saudi Arabia handled as part of the standard order flow.
