Metal Sulfide Pigments
Metal sulfide pigments are inorganic colorants based on metal-sulfide and sulfoselenide chemistries, historically the source of bright cadmium yellows, oranges and reds, and including ultramarine (a sodium aluminosilicate with sulfur chromophore) and zinc sulfide whites. Typical end uses include high-temperature engineering plastics, ceramics and glass colouring, artists' and specialty coatings, and selected industrial applications where heat and chemical resistance are critical. Buyers choose them for brilliant, opaque shades with strong thermal stability.
Products are identified by Colour Index generic name, for example CI Pigment Yellow 37 and Pigment Red 108 (cadmium types), Pigment Blue 29 (ultramarine) or Pigment White 7 (zinc sulfide), with constitution numbers in the inorganic range. Grade parameters include shade, tinting strength, particle size, heat stability and, for cadmium types, regulatory status. Because cadmium pigments are restricted in many consumer applications, buyers should confirm the permitted use and any REACH restriction at specification. The buyer's spec governs selection; HS code is provided on documentation.
Packaging is offered as 25 kg bags, fibre drums and FIBC bulk; samples support shade approval.
Compliance support typically covers REACH registration or Only Representative coverage for EU, CLP/GHS classification and SDS, and confirmation of any applicable REACH restriction (cadmium) for the intended use. SABER/SASO is coordinated for Saudi Arabia where required.
Himalay's verified manufacturer and exporter partners supply metal sulfide pigments with CoA per batch, SDS, REACH/CLP compliance coordinated for EU, GHS labelling, and SABER for Saudi Arabia handled as part of the standard order flow.
