Homopolymer Polypropylene
Homopolymer polypropylene (PP-H) is a 100% propylene polyolefin offering the highest stiffness, heat resistance, and tensile strength within the PP family. It is the default resin for raffia and woven sacks, BOPP and cast film, thermoforming sheet, rigid packaging, closures, fibres and nonwovens, and general injection moulding where rigidity and cost-efficiency matter.
Grades are specified primarily by melt-flow rate (MFR per ISO 1133 at 230 C/2.16 kg), which spans a very wide range: low fractional-flow extrusion grades (under 1 g/10 min) through general injection grades (around 10-40 g/10 min) to ultra-high-flow fibre and meltblown grades. Buyers also specify application family (raffia, BOPP, thermoforming, fibre, injection), isotacticity-driven stiffness, and additive packages for UV, antistatic, nucleation, or clarity. Food-contact-suitable grades carry EU 10/2011 and FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 declarations where required.
Forms are virgin granules; PCR/recycled PP is offered separately where circular content is specified. Packaging is typically 25 kg PP/PE bags palletised, 500-1250 kg FIBC/jumbo bags, or octabins for bulk extrusion lines, with FCL consignments standard for EU and GCC importers.
For EU buyers, REACH registration is confirmed and an Only Representative pathway coordinated where required; CLP labelling and SDS accompany shipments, and SABER/SASO is arranged for Saudi Arabia. Himalay's verified manufacturer/exporter partners supply homopolymer PP with CoA per batch (MFR, where applicable additive spec), SDS, REACH/CLP compliance coordinated for EU, GHS labelling, and SABER for Saudi Arabia handled as part of the standard order flow.
