Flexible PVC
Flexible PVC (plasticised PVC, pPVC) is polyvinyl chloride compounded with plasticisers to deliver softness, elongation, and flexibility across a wide hardness range. It is used for wire and cable insulation and sheathing, hoses and tubing, flooring, footwear, gaskets and seals, inflatables, and coated fabrics, and is supplied as ready-to-process flexible compound granules.
Grades are specified by Shore A hardness, the plasticiser system, and the base resin K-value (higher K-value suspension resins, typically K-66 and above, absorb plasticiser more readily for soft products). Compounds are further defined by their stabiliser (calcium-zinc for non-phthalate/low-toxicity systems), filler, flame-retardant package, and any electrical-grade or oil-resistance requirement per IS/IEC cable standards. Buyers specify hardness, volume resistivity for cable, low-temperature flexibility, and plasticiser type where phthalate-free (such as DOTP or other non-ortho-phthalate esters) is required for sensitive EU and GCC markets.
Forms are pelletised flexible compound; speciality colour and additive variants are offered. Packaging is typically 25 kg bags palletised, 500-1250 kg FIBC/jumbo bags, or octabins for bulk extrusion lines, with FCL consignments standard for EU and GCC importers.
For EU buyers, REACH registration is confirmed (including plasticiser substance status) and an Only Representative pathway coordinated where required; CLP labelling and SDS accompany shipments, and SABER/SASO is arranged for Saudi Arabia. Himalay's verified manufacturer/exporter partners supply flexible PVC compound with CoA per batch (Shore hardness, where applicable resistivity), SDS, REACH/CLP compliance coordinated for EU, GHS labelling, and SABER for Saudi Arabia handled as part of the standard order flow.
