Copolymer Polypropylene
Copolymer polypropylene, in its impact (heterophasic) form, is a PP matrix with a dispersed ethylene-propylene rubber phase that delivers markedly higher toughness, especially at low temperatures, than homopolymer PP. It is the resin of choice for automotive components, crates and pallets, paint pails and industrial containers, appliance parts, and any injection or extrusion application exposed to impact or cold service.
Grades are specified by melt-flow rate (MFR per ISO 1133 at 230 C/2.16 kg, commonly 1-40 g/10 min depending on part), ethylene/rubber content driving impact performance, and additive packages for UV, antistatic, nucleation, or scratch resistance. Impact copolymer grades trade some stiffness and clarity for ductility and notched impact strength; mineral- or talc-filled compounds are offered where modulus and dimensional stability are critical. Food-contact-suitable grades carry EU 10/2011 and FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 declarations where required.
Forms are virgin granules; PCR/recycled impact PP is offered separately where circular content is specified. Packaging is typically 25 kg bags palletised, 500-1250 kg FIBC/jumbo bags, or octabins for bulk moulding lines, with FCL consignments standard for EU and GCC importers.
For EU buyers, REACH registration is confirmed and an Only Representative pathway coordinated where required; CLP labelling and SDS accompany shipments, and SABER/SASO is arranged for Saudi Arabia. Himalay's verified manufacturer/exporter partners supply copolymer PP with CoA per batch (MFR, impact and additive spec where applicable), SDS, REACH/CLP compliance coordinated for EU, GHS labelling, and SABER for Saudi Arabia handled as part of the standard order flow.
