Xylene Solvents
Xylene (dimethylbenzene, typically supplied as a mixed-isomer blend or as ortho/para isomers) is an aromatic hydrocarbon solvent and intermediate. Buyers source mixed xylenes for paints, coatings and thinners, printing inks, adhesives, agrochemical formulations, and cleaning, while isomer-specific grades feed downstream chemistry such as PTA (para-xylene) and phthalic anhydride (ortho-xylene). Its slower evaporation relative to toluene suits higher-bake and brushing coatings.
Grades commonly offered include technical/industrial mixed xylene, isomer grades (o-, m-, p-xylene), and high-purity/reagent grades. CoA parameters usually quoted include assay and isomer distribution by GC, color (APHA), acid wash color, non-aromatics, sulphur, and water content. HS classification is provided on shipping documentation. For coating buyers, evaporation rate and aromatic purity are commonly specified alongside assay, while feedstock buyers focus on isomer distribution and sulphur limits.
Packaging is offered in around 160-180 kg steel drums, ~1000 L IBCs, and ISO tanks or flexibags for bulk; smaller packs serve high-purity grades. Bulk versus packed selection follows volume and destination, with drum quantities common where receiving sites have limited bulk flammable-storage capacity.
Xylene is a flammable liquid; SDS, CLP/GHS labelling, and ADR/IMDG documentation are coordinated where required, and REACH registration is addressed via the manufacturer or an Only Representative for EU import. SABER/SASO is handled for Saudi Arabia where applicable.
Himalay's verified manufacturer and exporter partners supply xylene with CoA per batch, SDS, REACH/CLP compliance coordinated for EU, GHS labelling, and SABER for Saudi Arabia handled as part of the standard order flow.
