USB Charging Devices
USB charging devices convert mains AC into regulated low-voltage DC and deliver it over USB connectors to phones, tablets, laptops and accessories. The family covers wall chargers (single and multi-port), GaN fast chargers, USB wall outlets, desktop charging stations, car chargers and cordsets. They are sourced for retail, hospitality, OEM bundling and facilities fit-outs across the EU and GCC. The defining specifications are output power and protocol: USB Power Delivery (USB-PD) over USB-C negotiates voltages from 5 V up to 20 V (and higher on Extended Power Range) for laptop-class charging, while legacy USB-A ports and proprietary fast-charge schemes serve smaller devices. Buyers specify total wattage, per-port wattage, port mix (USB-A/USB-C), and the mains plug for the destination. GaN (gallium-nitride) designs allow higher power in a smaller, cooler package. Safety is governed by IEC/EN 62368-1, the current standard for AV/IT equipment power supplies; EMC is covered under the relevant emissions/immunity standards, and EU ecodesign rules set no-load and efficiency limits. Construction uses flame-retardant housings, isolated switch-mode power topologies, and protection for over-voltage, over-current, over-temperature and short circuit. Options include USB-IF certified ports, fixed or foldable pins, multi-country plug kits, and integrated cable management.
