Toluene Solvents
Toluene (methylbenzene) is an aromatic hydrocarbon solvent and intermediate widely used for its strong solvency and balanced evaporation. Buyers source it for paints, coatings and thinners, printing inks, adhesives and sealants, rubber and tyre cement, and as a feedstock for downstream chemistry such as benzene, xylene, and TDI. Its broad resin solvency makes it a mainstay of industrial coating and adhesive systems.
Grades commonly offered include technical/industrial toluene, nitration grade, and high-purity/reagent grades. CoA parameters usually quoted include assay by GC, purity and non-aromatics, color (APHA), acid wash color, sulphur, and water content. HS classification is provided on shipping documentation. Toluene is classified as reprotoxic under CLP, so labelling and REACH dossier coverage are emphasised, and buyers often fix sulphur and acid wash color limits in the spec for downstream-chemistry feedstock.
Packaging is offered in around 160-180 kg steel drums, ~1000 L IBCs, and ISO tanks or flexibags for bulk; smaller packs serve high-purity grades. Bulk versus packed selection follows volume and destination, and drum versus ISO-tank choice usually tracks the buyer's flammable-storage capacity and turnover.
Toluene is a flammable liquid; SDS, CLP/GHS labelling, and ADR/IMDG documentation are coordinated where required, and REACH registration is addressed via the manufacturer or an Only Representative for EU import. SABER/SASO is handled for Saudi Arabia where applicable.
Himalay's verified manufacturer and exporter partners supply toluene with CoA per batch, SDS, REACH/CLP compliance coordinated for EU, GHS labelling, and SABER for Saudi Arabia handled as part of the standard order flow.
