Telecom Antennas
Telecom antennas are the radiating elements that transmit and receive signals for cellular and broadband networks, mounted on towers, monopoles, rooftops and shelters. Sourcing is driven by electromagnetic performance and environmental durability, since these units operate continuously outdoors across wide temperature and weather extremes.
The family includes sector/panel base-station antennas, omnidirectional antennas, multi-band and massive-MIMO arrays, and microwave backhaul dishes. Key commercial parameters are gain (dBi) — sector panels commonly in the mid-to-high teens — frequency band (from sub-GHz cellular up to 5G sub-6 GHz around 3.4-3.8 GHz and beyond), VSWR (often targeted below around 1.5:1), horizontal and vertical beamwidth (sector panels frequently around 65 degrees horizontal), cross-polar isolation, front-to-back ratio and electrical/mechanical downtilt range. Wind survivability and mast-mounting compatibility are further selection points for tower-top deployment.
Construction centres on weather-sealed radomes over dipole or patch arrays, corrosion-resistant mounting hardware and connectorised RF feeds, with ingress protection commonly to IP67 or better per IEC/EN 60529. EU placement typically requires CE under the Radio Equipment Directive and EMC, with RoHS/REACH declarations.
Configuration options usually include single or multi-band variants, dual-polarised arrangements, fixed or remote electrical-tilt (RET) downtilt, a choice of connector types and clamp/pole mounting kits.
