Satellite broadcasting antennas are dish-type reflector assemblies and their mounting hardware used to receive or transmit signals across DTH television, VSAT data and broadcast links. Within a castings-and-forgings supply context, the sourcing focus is on the structural metal components — cast and forged hubs, feed-arm brackets, mount castings, actuator clamps and reflector support hardware — that must hold pointing accuracy and survive outdoor wind and corrosion loads.

Reflectors are typically offset or prime-focus parabolic dishes in pressed aluminium or fibre-reinforced composite, while the load-bearing mounts, hubs and brackets are produced as aluminium or steel castings and forgings. Key specs cover reflector diameter, focal geometry and surface accuracy (RMS) for RF performance, plus the structural rating, wind-survival class and corrosion grade of the metal hardware. Casting and forging grades follow conventional aluminium (A356, LM-series) and steel practice rather than a single antenna-specific metal standard.

Metal parts are selected by strength and corrosion duty, with heat treatment and finishes such as anodising, hot-dip galvanising, powder coat or e-coat applied for long outdoor life. Fastener grade and gasketing are defined on the assembly drawing.

Dimensional accuracy, surface profile and corrosion protection are normally agreed against the drawing. Himalay coordinates material traceability and EN 10204 3.1 certificates for cast and forged parts, dimensional and coating-thickness verification, plus salt-spray and, where relevant, RF surface-accuracy reports and RoHS/REACH and CE documentation where specified, handled as part of the standard order flow.
