Power Sockets
Power sockets (socket-outlets) are the fixed wiring accessories that deliver mains power to plugged-in equipment at the point of use. They are sourced for residential and commercial fit-outs, modular wiring systems, furniture and floor-box installations, and OEM equipment across the EU and GCC. The destination market dictates the outlet geometry: continental Europe largely uses Schuko (CEE 7) outlets built to IEC 60884, while the UK and much of the GCC use the BS 1363 13 A system with shuttered, switched outlets. Variants include single and multi-gang outlets, switched and unswitched, flush wall-box and surface-mount, modular DIN-style inserts, floor and desk grommet boxes, and outlets with integrated USB charging or RCD protection. Key parameters are rated voltage (230 V), rated current (commonly 13-16 A), gang count, mounting depth, and IP rating (IP20 indoor, IP44/IP55 for damp or outdoor locations). Construction uses flame-retardant thermoplastic or metal faceplates, shuttered live apertures, tin- or nickel-plated brass terminals, and screw or screwless cage clamps for the incoming conductors. Options span colour and finish (white, metal, matt black), child-safety shutters, switch rockers with neon indicators, RCD or surge modules, and USB-A/USB-C charging at specified wattage. Himalay's verified manufacturer partners supply power sockets with test reports and CoC, CE (LVD and EMC) and RoHS/REACH documentation, and SABER (Saudi Arabia) coordinated as part of the standard order flow; destination-specific safety marks, custom finishes and factory acceptance testing are arranged where specified.
