Mineral Spirits
Mineral spirits (white spirit, Stoddard solvent, petroleum spirits) is a refined petroleum-distillate hydrocarbon solvent used as a paint thinner, degreaser, and cleaning solvent. Buyers source it for coatings and thinning, dry cleaning, metal degreasing, and general industrial cleaning. Composition is broadly aligned to the ASTM D235 specification, which defines several types of hydrocarbon solvents for coatings and dry-cleaning use; the European equivalent is generally recognised as white spirit.
Grades commonly offered include regular (ASTM D235 Type I/Stoddard), low-aromatic and de-aromatised grades, and odourless mineral spirits for low-odour applications. CoA parameters usually quoted include distillation range, flash point, aromatic content, color (Saybolt), and evaporation rate. HS classification is provided on shipping documentation. Many grades have a flash point above the strict flammable threshold and are classified as combustible rather than highly flammable, which buyers should confirm per grade.
Packaging is offered in around 160-180 kg steel drums, ~1000 L IBCs, and ISO tanks or flexibags for bulk; smaller packs serve odourless grades. Bulk versus packed selection follows volume and destination.
SDS, CLP/GHS labelling, and ADR/IMDG documentation are coordinated where required, and REACH registration is addressed via the manufacturer or an Only Representative for EU import. SABER/SASO is handled for Saudi Arabia where applicable.
Himalay's verified manufacturer and exporter partners supply mineral spirits with CoA per batch, SDS, REACH/CLP compliance coordinated for EU, GHS labelling, and SABER for Saudi Arabia handled as part of the standard order flow.
