Isopropyl Alcohol Solvents
Isopropyl alcohol (IPA, isopropanol) is a clear, water-miscible secondary alcohol used as a general-purpose solvent, cleaning agent, and process intermediate. Buyers source it for coatings and inks, pharmaceutical and cosmetic manufacturing, electronics and surface cleaning, disinfectant blending, and as a dehydrating or extraction solvent across many industrial streams. Its fast evaporation and broad miscibility make it a workhorse where a clean, residue-light solvent is needed.
Grades commonly offered span technical/industrial (typically around 99% min assay), commercial 99.7%+ anhydrous, and pharma/USP-grade where pharmacopoeial limits on water, acidity, non-volatile residue, and identity apply. Key spec parameters quoted on a Certificate of Analysis usually include assay by GC, water content (Karl Fischer), color (APHA/Pt-Co), acidity as acetic acid, and non-volatile matter. Reagent/AR grades are available for laboratory use; HS classification is provided on shipping documentation.
Packaging is offered in 160-170 kg steel or HDPE drums, IBC totes of around 1000 L, and ISO tanks or flexibags for bulk volumes, with smaller packed bottles available for high-purity grades. Bulk versus packed selection is typically driven by destination handling and grade.
IPA is a flammable liquid; SDS, CLP/GHS labelling, and ADR/IMDG documentation are coordinated where required, and REACH registration is addressed via the manufacturer or an Only Representative pathway for EU shipments. SABER/SASO routing is handled for Saudi Arabia where applicable.
Himalay's verified manufacturer and exporter partners supply isopropyl alcohol with CoA per batch, SDS, REACH/CLP compliance coordinated for EU, GHS labelling, and SABER for Saudi Arabia handled as part of the standard order flow.
