Hexane Solvents
Hexane (n-hexane and commercial hexane fractions) is an aliphatic hydrocarbon solvent prized for low polarity and clean, fast evaporation. Buyers source it for edible-oil extraction (the largest single use), as a solvent in adhesives and rubber cement, in pharmaceutical and laboratory extraction, and as a process and cleaning solvent. Food-grade extraction hexane is a major export line for the oilseed industry.
Grades commonly offered include commercial hexane, food-grade/extraction hexane, n-hexane high-purity, and reagent/AR grades. CoA parameters usually quoted include n-hexane and isomer content by GC, distillation range, non-volatile residue (important for extraction), color (Saybolt/APHA), and aromatics content. HS classification is provided on shipping documentation. n-Hexane carries a reprotoxic CLP classification, reflected in labelling, and extraction buyers typically pin the non-volatile residue and aromatics limits in the purchase spec to protect oil quality.
Packaging is offered in around 150-160 kg steel drums, ~1000 L IBCs, and ISO tanks or flexibags for bulk; smaller packs serve high-purity grades. Bulk versus packed selection follows volume and destination, and large oilseed processors usually take ISO-tank or flexibag bulk while smaller users take drums.
Hexane is a highly flammable liquid; SDS, CLP/GHS labelling, and ADR/IMDG documentation are coordinated where required, and REACH registration is addressed via the manufacturer or an Only Representative for EU import. SABER/SASO is handled for Saudi Arabia where applicable.
Himalay's verified manufacturer and exporter partners supply hexane with CoA per batch, SDS, REACH/CLP compliance coordinated for EU, GHS labelling, and SABER for Saudi Arabia handled as part of the standard order flow.
