Heptane Solvents
Heptane (n-heptane and commercial heptane fractions) is an aliphatic hydrocarbon solvent used where a clean, non-polar, low-residue solvent with a defined boiling range is needed. Buyers source it for adhesives and rubber cement, pharmaceutical extraction and crystallisation, chromatography and laboratory work, and as a reference fuel and calibration standard. High-purity n-heptane is also used as a knock-reference (zero octane) standard.
Grades commonly offered include commercial heptane, n-heptane high-purity, reagent/AR/HPLC grades, and reference-standard grade. CoA parameters usually quoted include n-heptane content and isomer distribution by GC, distillation range, non-volatile residue, color (Saybolt), and water. HS classification is provided on shipping documentation. Analytical buyers commonly add UV-transmittance or gradient-suitability limits to the spec for HPLC use.
Packaging is offered in around 150-160 kg steel drums, ~1000 L IBCs, and ISO tanks or flexibags for bulk; bottles and small packs serve HPLC/reference grades. Bulk versus packed selection follows volume and grade, with analytical and reference grades almost always supplied in smaller protective packs rather than bulk.
Heptane is a highly flammable liquid; SDS, CLP/GHS labelling, and ADR/IMDG documentation are coordinated where required, and REACH registration is addressed via the manufacturer or an Only Representative for EU import. SABER/SASO is handled for Saudi Arabia where applicable.
Himalay's verified manufacturer and exporter partners supply heptane with CoA per batch, SDS, REACH/CLP compliance coordinated for EU, GHS labelling, and SABER for Saudi Arabia handled as part of the standard order flow.
