About Furniture & Fixture Bolts
Furniture and fixture bolts join wooden, panel and metal components in furniture, cabinetry, joinery and flat-pack assemblies, combining clamping strength with clean appearance and easy assembly. They are designed for repeated assembly and disassembly, concealed or decorative heads, and use with cross-dowels, barrel nuts and threaded inserts that spread load in soft or engineered materials. The category covers furniture connector bolts (often hex-socket with a decorative cap), Euro and confirmat-style screws, hanger bolts, T-nuts, cross-dowel (barrel) nuts and carriage-style coach bolts with a domed head and square neck that grips the timber. Thread forms follow ISO metric coarse for connector and machine-thread bolts and coarse wood-thread profiles on the timber end of hanger bolts; head recesses include hex socket, Pozidriv and Phillips. Strength is usually moderate, with class 4.8/8.8 carbon or stainless A2 typical, since the limiting factor is the host material rather than the bolt. Materials run from zinc-plated carbon steel to stainless A2/A4 for outdoor or humid use and brass or nickel-plated finishes for visible hardware. Coatings emphasise appearance and mild corrosion protection: bright zinc, black oxide, nickel, brass and powder finishes. Tolerances focus on recess fit and head finish for clean driving. Himalay coordinates material traceability with EN 10204 3.1 certificates where requested, dimensional and recess-gauge inspection, salt-spray data for plated lots and RoHS declarations for finishes; consistent finish and packaging suited to retail or assembly lines, plus SABER routing for GCC entry, are coordinated as part of the standard order flow.
