  • Ethanol Solvents

Ethanol solvents are ethyl alcohol supplied across purity and denaturation forms for use as a cleaning and extraction solvent, a coatings and ink carrier, a pharmaceutical and cosmetic excipient, a chromatography and analytical reagent, and a process solvent. Buyers in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, coatings, food and analytical laboratories select ethanol by assay, water content, denaturant status and residue, because purity and whether the ethanol is denatured determine both performance and duty/regulatory treatment.

Grades span industrial/denatured (with specified denaturants), undenatured/neutral and extra-neutral alcohol, laboratory reagent and analytical reagent (AR/ACS), pharmaceutical/USP-EP grade, and HPLC/spectroscopy grades for instrument work; absolute (anhydrous) and rectified (96 percent azeotrope) forms are common. Spec sheets typically cover assay/strength, water content (Karl Fischer), residue on evaporation, acidity, methanol and aldehyde limits, colour and, for pharma grades, pharmacopoeial criteria. Denatured grades state the denaturant. CAS and HS details are provided on documentation rather than assumed here.

Forms include reagent and HPLC bottles, 200–210 L drums, 1000 L IBCs and ISO tanks for bulk; ethanol is flammable and packed accordingly, with denaturation/excise documentation as relevant.

For EU import, REACH registration or an Only Representative pathway is coordinated where required, with CLP/GHS labelling and SDS supplied; the flammable classification means ADR/IMDG class and UN number are assigned. SABER/SASO is coordinated for Saudi Arabia.

Himalay's verified manufacturer and exporter partners supply ethanol solvents with CoA per batch, SDS, REACH/CLP compliance coordinated for EU, GHS labelling, and SABER for Saudi Arabia handled as part of the standard order flow.
