Electrical Plugs

Electrical plugs are the connectors fitted to a flexible cord that mate with a socket-outlet to draw mains power for an appliance or portable load. They are sourced for appliance OEM assembly, cordsets and power-cord manufacture, and replacement/spares distribution across the EU and GCC. Because the plug geometry must match the destination socket, buyers specify by national system first: Schuko (CEE 7/7) and the French/Belgian CEE 7/6 for continental Europe, all built to IEC 60884, and the BS 1363 13 A fused plug for the UK and much of the GCC. Variants include moulded (non-rewireable) plugs over-moulded onto a cord, rewireable plugs with screw terminals, angled and flat-profile plugs, and fused or unfused designs. Key parameters are rated voltage (250 V), rated current (commonly 10-16 A, with the BS 1363 plug carrying a 3/5/13 A cartridge fuse), pin material and plating, cord entry size, and the cord cross-section the plug is rated to terminate. Construction uses flame-retardant thermoplastic bodies, brass pins (often nickel- or tin-plated), insulated sleeves on live and neutral pins where the standard requires, and robust strain relief at the cord entry. Options include partly-insulated pins, custom cord lengths and colours, IP44 splashproof bodies, and country-specific fuse ratings. Himalay's verified manufacturer partners supply electrical plugs and cordsets with test reports and CoC, CE (LVD and EMC) and RoHS/REACH documentation, and SABER (Saudi Arabia) coordinated as part of the standard order flow; destination-specific approvals and factory acceptance testing are arranged where specified.
