Diesel fuels are middle-distillate compression-ignition fuels used in road transport, off-highway machinery, marine auxiliaries, rail and stationary generator sets. Traded as a bulk commodity, diesel is bought against an agreed test slate covering ignition quality, cold-flow behaviour and sulfur limits, with the specification sheet driving the inquiry. The category spans automotive gas oil, ultra-low-sulfur diesel and various off-road grades.

Grades are commonly defined against ASTM D975, which categorises diesel into several grades by boiling range and sets limits on cetane number, cloud point, flash point, viscosity, sulfur, water, ash, carbon residue and copper-strip corrosion; EN 590 is the equivalent EU reference. Sulfur content is a primary differentiator, with 10 ppm (ultra-low-sulfur) grades required for on-road EU use and higher-sulfur grades available for some off-road and marine applications. Cetane number, cold filter plugging point and density are matched to climate and engine. HS codes are provided on documentation.

Diesel is a bulk product moving in vessel parcels, ISO tanks and flexitanks, with drummed lots for niche use. It is a flammable dangerous good shipped under its assigned UN number per ADR/IMDG.

Compliance typically includes SDS provision, CLP/GHS labelling, REACH registration or Only Representative routing for EU entry, and SABER/SASO registration for Saudi Arabia, coordinated where required. Cold-flow grades are matched to the destination season and biodiesel blend content (B7, B10) is specified where applicable.

Himalay's verified manufacturer and exporter partners supply diesel fuels with CoA per batch, SDS, REACH/CLP compliance coordinated for EU, GHS labelling, and SABER for Saudi Arabia handled as part of the standard order flow.
