Commercial Refrigerators
Commercial refrigerators are chilled-storage cabinets that hold food and beverages in the 0 to +8 C band for kitchens, restaurants, hotels, convenience retail and food processing. Buyers in the EU and GCC source upright reach-ins, undercounter and back-bar units, prep counters, and blast chillers for high-throughput catering. The category is selected by storage volume, internal temperature band and stability, door configuration (solid or glass, single or multi-door), and ambient design temperature, the last being decisive for hot GCC kitchens where a higher climate class is needed. EU imports must respect the F-gas Regulation (EU) 517/2014 phase-down: most new self-contained cabinets now use R290 (propane, GWP ~3), which also tends to cut energy use versus older HFC designs, while remote-condenser systems may use R449A. The EU energy label and ecodesign rules apply to professional storage cabinets, so the declared energy class is a real commercial differentiator. Construction uses stainless steel (often AISI 304) interiors and exteriors, PU-foamed insulated walls and doors, hermetic compressors, forced-draught or static cooling, and digital controllers with defrost management; flammable-refrigerant charge follows IEC 60335-2-89. Options include forced-air uniform cooling, self-closing gasketed doors, castors, GN-pan compatibility, and remote monitoring. Himalay's verified manufacturer partners supply commercial refrigerators with test reports and CoC, CE (LVD and EMC), RoHS/REACH and F-gas-compliant refrigerant documentation, EU energy-label data, and SABER (Saudi Arabia) coordinated as part of the standard order flow; factory acceptance testing is arranged where specified.
