Commercial Freezers
Commercial freezers hold frozen product at -18 C and below for catering, food retail, food processing and cold-chain logistics. Buyers in the EU and GCC source upright reach-in freezers, chest freezers, undercounter freezers, blast freezers and combined fridge-freezer cabinets. Selection follows storage volume, temperature band and pull-down rate (a blast freezer must drive product through the critical zone quickly), door configuration, and the ambient design/climate class, which is decisive for hot GCC environments. As with chilled cabinets, EU imports must respect the F-gas Regulation (EU) 517/2014: most new self-contained freezers use R290 (propane, GWP ~3), with R449A on larger or remote systems and legacy R404A/R134a being designed out. The EU energy label and ecodesign rules apply to professional units, so the declared energy class is a meaningful differentiator. Construction uses stainless steel bodies, thicker PU-foamed insulation than chillers to limit heat ingress at low temperature, hermetic or semi-hermetic compressors, automatic or hot-gas defrost, and digital controllers with low-temperature alarms; flammable-refrigerant charge follows IEC 60335-2-89. Options include forced-air rapid freezing, self-closing gasketed doors, heated door frames to prevent condensation, castors, adjustable shelving, and remote temperature monitoring with data-logging for HACCP records and audit traceability. Himalay's verified manufacturer partners supply commercial freezers with test reports and CoC, CE (LVD and EMC), RoHS/REACH and F-gas-compliant refrigerant documentation, EU energy-label data, and SABER (Saudi Arabia) coordinated as part of the standard order flow; factory acceptance testing is arranged where specified.
