Coagulants
Coagulants are water-treatment chemicals that destabilise suspended and colloidal particles so they can agglomerate and settle, serving municipal drinking-water plants, industrial process and wastewater, effluent treatment plants and sludge conditioning. They are the first-stage chemistry ahead of flocculation and clarification.
The range is dominated by inorganic salts: aluminium sulphate (alum), poly aluminium chloride (PAC, also described as aluminium chlorohydrate), ferric chloride, ferric and ferrous sulphate, and poly ferric sulphate. Products are specified by active content (for example Al2O3 percent for PAC, basicity, and Fe content for iron salts), form (liquid solution or powder/granular), pH, insolubles and heavy-metal limits. Drinking-water grades are typically specified against potable-water suitability references, with CoA per batch confirming conformity; HS classification is provided on documentation.
Packaging is typically HDPE drums, IBCs, road tankers and ISO tanks for liquid grades, and 25 kg or jumbo/FIBC bags for powder/granular grades. Acidic ferric and some aluminium liquids may be corrosive and ship under ADR/IMDG controls with the relevant UN number and labelling coordinated where required; many neutral-handling grades are non-regulated.
For EU buyers, REACH registration or an Only Representative pathway and CLP/GHS labelling are coordinated where required, with SDS supplied per consignment; potable-water suitability documentation is provided where requested. SABER/SASO routing applies for Saudi Arabia, and Indian-side documentation is arranged as needed.
