Butyl Acetate Solvents
Butyl acetate (n-butyl acetate and iso-butyl acetate) is a medium-evaporation ester solvent with strong solvency and good flow, widely used in coatings. Buyers source it for paints, lacquers, and automotive refinish, printing inks, adhesives, and as a process solvent and flavour component. Its slower evaporation relative to ethyl acetate gives better flow, gloss, and levelling in higher-quality coating systems.
Grades commonly offered include technical/industrial n-butyl acetate (typically 99%+), iso-butyl acetate, and high-purity grades. CoA parameters usually quoted include assay by GC, water content (Karl Fischer), acidity as acetic acid, color (APHA), and non-volatile residue. Reagent/AR grades serve laboratory use; HS classification is provided on shipping documentation. Automotive-refinish and high-gloss coating buyers often specify tight color (APHA) and non-volatile residue limits to protect finish quality.
Packaging is offered in around 160-180 kg steel drums, ~1000 L IBCs, and ISO tanks or flexibags for bulk; smaller packs serve high-purity grades. Bulk versus packed selection follows volume and destination, with drum versus IBC choice usually tracking the buyer's flammable-storage rating and consumption rate.
Butyl acetate is a flammable liquid; SDS, CLP/GHS labelling, and ADR/IMDG documentation are coordinated where required, and REACH registration is addressed via the manufacturer or an Only Representative for EU import. SABER/SASO is handled for Saudi Arabia where applicable.
Himalay's verified manufacturer and exporter partners supply butyl acetate with CoA per batch, SDS, REACH/CLP compliance coordinated for EU, GHS labelling, and SABER for Saudi Arabia handled as part of the standard order flow.
