Butanol Solvents
Butanol (n-butanol and its isomers including iso-butanol) is a four-carbon alcohol used as a medium-evaporation solvent and chemical intermediate. Buyers source it for coatings, lacquers and resins, as a solvent and co-solvent in inks and adhesives, for plasticiser and butyl-acetate manufacture, and as a process solvent in pharmaceutical and agrochemical streams. Its balanced volatility and good resin solvency make it common in industrial paint formulations.
Grades typically offered are technical/industrial n-butanol and iso-butanol, with high-purity grades for sensitive applications. Specification parameters usually quoted on a CoA include assay by GC, water content (Karl Fischer), color (APHA), acidity, and non-volatile residue. Reagent/AR grades are available for laboratory use, and the relevant isomer is confirmed at order stage. HS classification is provided on shipping documentation.
Packaging is offered in around 160-180 kg steel drums, ~1000 L IBCs, and ISO tanks or flexibags for bulk; smaller packs are available for high-purity material. Bulk versus packed is generally chosen by volume and destination.
Butanol is a flammable liquid; SDS, CLP/GHS labelling, and ADR/IMDG transport documentation are coordinated where required, with REACH registration addressed via the manufacturer or an Only Representative for EU import. SABER/SASO is handled for Saudi Arabia where applicable.
Himalay's verified manufacturer and exporter partners supply butanol with CoA per batch, SDS, REACH/CLP compliance coordinated for EU, GHS labelling, and SABER for Saudi Arabia handled as part of the standard order flow.
