Biodiesel is a renewable diesel substitute made of fatty acid methyl esters (FAME) produced from vegetable oils, used cooking oil or animal fats, used neat (B100) or blended with petroleum diesel (B5, B7, B20). It serves road transport, off-highway and heating applications as a lower-emission, biodegradable fuel. For EU and GCC buyers, biodiesel is bought against the FAME standard relevant to the destination plus a sustainability declaration where required.

Grades are defined chiefly by the FAME standard. EN 14214 is the European reference and ASTM D6751 the US reference; both require a minimum ester content of 96.5% by mass, with EN 14214 specifying a minimum cetane number of 51 and ASTM D6751 a minimum of 47. Other key parameters include density, viscosity, flash point, cold filter plugging point, oxidation stability, water and sediment, acid value, and methanol, glycerol and metals limits. Feedstock and winter/summer cold-flow grade are matched to the destination. HS codes are provided on documentation.

Biodiesel ships in ISO tanks, flexitanks, drums (200-210 L) and IBCs. B100 is generally lower-hazard than petroleum diesel but is classified and shipped per ADR/IMDG where applicable.

Compliance typically includes SDS provision, CLP/GHS labelling, REACH registration or Only Representative routing for EU entry, SABER/SASO registration for Saudi Arabia, and sustainability certification (for example ISCC) for EU fuel use, coordinated where required.

Himalay's verified manufacturer and exporter partners supply biodiesel with CoA per batch, SDS, REACH/CLP compliance coordinated for EU, GHS labelling, and SABER for Saudi Arabia handled as part of the standard order flow.
