Benzene Solvents
Benzene is an aromatic hydrocarbon used predominantly as a chemical feedstock and, in restricted contexts, as a high-purity solvent. Buyers source it primarily as an intermediate for ethylbenzene/styrene, cumene, cyclohexane, nitrobenzene, and other downstream chemistry, with limited solvent use in laboratory and specialty applications. Because of its hazard profile, sourcing is treated as a controlled commodity with strict documentation.
Grades commonly offered are petrochemical/industrial benzene (typically 99.9%+) and high-purity reagent grades. CoA parameters usually quoted include assay by GC, non-aromatics and toluene content, color (APHA), acid wash color, total sulphur, and water. HS classification is provided on shipping documentation. Benzene is a recognised CMR substance under CLP and is subject to REACH restriction limits on placing on the market in mixtures above defined thresholds, so end-use eligibility must be confirmed.
Packaging is offered in steel drums, IBCs, and ISO tanks for bulk; smaller packs serve high-purity grades. Bulk versus packed selection follows volume, destination, and regulatory eligibility.
Benzene is a highly flammable liquid and CMR substance; SDS, CLP/GHS labelling, and ADR/IMDG documentation are coordinated where required, with REACH registration and any restriction/authorisation checks addressed via the manufacturer or an Only Representative for EU import. SABER/SASO is handled for Saudi Arabia where applicable.
Himalay's verified manufacturer and exporter partners supply benzene with CoA per batch, SDS, REACH/CLP compliance coordinated for EU, GHS labelling, and SABER for Saudi Arabia handled as part of the standard order flow.
