Ammonia Solutions
Ammonia solutions are aqueous ammonia (ammonium hydroxide) used as an alkali, pH adjuster, complexing agent and cleaning chemical across many industries. Typical end uses include water treatment and pH control, fertiliser and agrochemical processing, rubber latex stabilisation, textile and dye processing, metal-surface cleaning, and as a reagent in laboratory and analytical work. Buyers select it as a cost-effective, readily neutralised source of alkalinity.
Grades are normally specified by ammonia concentration, commonly around 25% w/w technical and industrial strength, with lower household-strength dilutions and higher-purity reagent, AR or low-metals electronic grades for sensitive uses. Key parameters include assay (NH3 %), specific gravity, residue on evaporation and trace-metal limits. The buyer's datasheet governs the exact grade; HS code is provided on documentation.
Packaging is offered as carboys and 25 kg jerrycans, 200-220 kg HDPE drums, and IBCs; concentration and headspace are managed for the chosen pack. Aqueous ammonia is a regulated product and packing is matched to transport rules.
Compliance support typically covers REACH registration or Only Representative coverage for EU, CLP/GHS classification (corrosive, and an environmental hazard), and SDS provision. Aqueous ammonia is generally classified for transport under ADR/IMDG with the applicable UN number and class, coordinated where required; SABER/SASO is arranged for Saudi Arabia.
Himalay's verified manufacturer and exporter partners supply ammonia solutions with CoA per batch, SDS, REACH/CLP compliance coordinated for EU, GHS labelling, and SABER for Saudi Arabia handled as part of the standard order flow.
