Alcohol Solvents
Alcohol solvents are mono- and polyhydric alcohols — isopropanol (IPA), n-butanol, isobutanol, n-propanol, benzyl alcohol and glycols — used as cleaning and degreasing fluids, coatings and ink carriers, extraction media, intermediates and laboratory reagents. Buyers in coatings, pharmaceuticals, electronics, printing and cleaning select them by purity, water content and residue, because these govern solvency, drying and finish quality.
Grades span technical/commercial through laboratory reagent and analytical reagent (AR/ACS), with HPLC, GC and electronic/semiconductor grades for instrument and microelectronics work. Spec sheets commonly cover assay by GC, water content (Karl Fischer), acidity, residue on evaporation, colour (Pt-Co), and for chromatography grades, UV transparency and residue; industrial grades for common alcohols are often framed against ASTM specifications covering distillation range and assay. CAS and HS details are provided on documentation rather than assumed here.
Forms include 2.5 L and smaller reagent bottles, 200–210 L steel or HDPE drums, 1000 L IBCs and ISO tanks for bulk; most alcohol solvents are flammable and packed accordingly, with grade-appropriate closures and liners specified per item.
For EU import, REACH registration or an Only Representative pathway is coordinated where required, with CLP/GHS labelling and SDS supplied; flammable grades are assigned ADR/IMDG classes and UN numbers. SABER/SASO is coordinated for Saudi Arabia.
Himalay's verified manufacturer and exporter partners supply alcohol solvents with CoA per batch, SDS, REACH/CLP compliance coordinated for EU, GHS labelling, and SABER for Saudi Arabia handled as part of the standard order flow.
