Acetone Solvents
Acetone (dimethyl ketone) is a fast-evaporating, fully water-miscible ketone solvent and one of the highest-volume industrial solvents traded. Buyers source it for surface coatings and thinners, adhesives, resins and fibreglass work, cleaning and degreasing, cosmetics and nail products, and as a process and extraction solvent in pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturing. Its strong solvency for resins, oils, and many polymers makes it a default cleaning and dissolution solvent.
Grades commonly offered include technical/industrial acetone (typically 99.5%+), commercial high-purity, and pharma/USP-grade where pharmacopoeial limits apply. CoA parameters usually quoted include assay by GC, water content, color (APHA), acidity, non-volatile residue, and permanganate time as a purity indicator. Reagent/AR grades serve laboratory use; HS classification is provided on shipping documentation. Buyers specifying for sensitive end uses typically lock the acidity and water limits in the purchase spec to keep batch-to-batch variation predictable.
Packaging is offered in around 150-165 kg steel drums, ~1000 L IBCs, and ISO tanks or flexibags for bulk, with smaller packs for high-purity grades. Bulk versus packed selection follows volume and destination handling, and drum versus IBC choice is often driven by warehouse turnover at the receiving site.
Acetone is a highly flammable, low-flash liquid; SDS, CLP/GHS labelling, and ADR/IMDG documentation are coordinated where required, and REACH registration is addressed via the manufacturer or an Only Representative for EU shipments. SABER/SASO is handled for Saudi Arabia where applicable.
Himalay's verified manufacturer and exporter partners supply acetone with CoA per batch, SDS, REACH/CLP compliance coordinated for EU, GHS labelling, and SABER for Saudi Arabia handled as part of the standard order flow.
