Accessories & Mounting
Accessories and mounting products are the ancillary parts that complete a wiring-accessory installation: back boxes and pattress boxes, blank and grid plates, surface mounting brackets, DIN rails and end-stops, cable glands and grommets, faceplate frames, screws and fixing kits, and weatherproof enclosures. They are sourced by electrical wholesalers, panel builders, OEM assemblers and installers across the EU and GCC, usually alongside the sockets, plugs and SPDs they support. Because they interface with standardised devices, dimensional compatibility is the key selection point: back boxes follow the depth and fixing-centre conventions of the destination wiring system (for example single- and double-gang boxes sized for BS 1363 plates or for European modular ranges), while DIN rails follow the 35 mm top-hat profile to IEC 60715. Cable glands are specified by thread (metric or PG), cable diameter range and IP rating to IEC 62444. Key parameters across the family are material (galvanised or pressed steel, brass, flame-retardant thermoplastic), gauge or wall thickness, IP rating for outdoor or washdown enclosures, and corrosion protection. Construction and finish are matched to the environment: zinc-plated or hot-dip steel for boxes, nickel-plated brass for glands, and UV-stable polycarbonate for outdoor enclosures. Options include knockout patterns, earth terminals, gasketed lids, and stainless hardware for marine or coastal duty.
