Pumps & Cylinders
Pumps and cylinders cover the fluid-moving and fluid-actuated end of mechanical equipment: pumps that add energy to move liquids, and hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders that convert fluid pressure into linear force and motion. They are used across process plant, water and wastewater, oil and gas, machine tools, mobile and construction equipment wherever fluids must be transferred or work must be done by a piston. This overview spans the main families rather than a single product: centrifugal pumps (end-suction, multistage and process types), positive-displacement pumps (gear, screw, vane, diaphragm and reciprocating), and linear actuators including hydraulic cylinders, pneumatic cylinders and telescopic rams. Centrifugal process pumps commonly follow API 610, ISO 5199 or ISO 2858 dimensional standards; hydraulic cylinders are built to ISO 6020/6022 or NFPA mounting standards and pneumatic cylinders to ISO 15552, with bore, stroke, rod diameter and working pressure as the key specifications. Materials range across cast iron, carbon and stainless steel, bronze and duplex for wetted pump parts, and honed steel tube, hard-chromed rods and selected seal packs for cylinders, with coatings such as chrome or nickel plating for corrosion and wear. Configuration covers hydraulic balance, impeller trim, seal type and shaft sealing for pumps, and mounting style, cushioning, sealing and rod surface for cylinders, all proven by performance or pressure testing.
