Procedure and minor-OT lights are active medical luminaires positioned between general examination lights and full surgical lights. They serve minor operating theatres, day-surgery suites, casualty, dermatology, gynaecology and dental settings where more illuminance and better shadow control are needed than a basic exam lamp provides, but a full operating luminaire is not required.

Formats include mobile (trolley), wall, ceiling and rail-mounted single-cupola LED units. Buyers typically specify against IEC 60601-1 for basic safety with IEC 60601-2-41 referenced for the luminaire. Central illuminance is usually quoted in lux at 1 m (commonly in the tens of thousands, below full surgical levels), with correlated colour temperature in the band referenced by the standard, colour rendering index Ra in the 85-100 region, an emphasised R9 for tissue colour, plus field diameter, focus depth and shadow behaviour as comparison points.

Construction centres on a sealed LED cupola with a sterilisable handle, cleanable surfaces for repeated disinfection, balanced positioning arms and dimming. Optional battery back-up supports mobile and procedure-room use. EU MDR 2017/745 classification is determined by the manufacturer's intended-use statement.

Configuration options usually include floor/wall/ceiling/rail mounting, mains or rechargeable-battery operation, variable spot diameter, selectable colour temperature and removable/sterilisable handle covers. Himalay's verified manufacturer partners supply procedure and minor-OT lights with test reports/CoC, CE (LVD/EMC and relevant medical-device directive), RoHS/REACH, and SABER (Saudi Arabia) coordinated as part of the standard order flow; photometric reports or factory acceptance testing arranged where specified.
