Multimeters are general-purpose electrical test instruments that measure voltage, current and resistance, with most modern units adding continuity, diode test, capacitance, frequency and temperature. They are the most widely used tool in electrical maintenance, installation, electronics service, manufacturing test and incoming inspection, making them a high-volume sourcing item for EU and GCC distributors, panel builders and maintenance contractors.

The family covers hand-held digital multimeters (DMMs), clamp meters for non-contact AC/DC current, and benchtop DMMs for laboratory and production use. Key specification parameters include resolution expressed in counts or digits (for example 6000-count, 4.5-digit), DC and AC accuracy quoted as percentage of reading plus counts, true-RMS capability for distorted waveforms, input impedance, and measurement bandwidth. Safety is governed by IEC 61010-1, with mains-capable meters marked to a measurement category (CAT II/III/IV) and voltage; EMC is addressed under IEC 61326-1.

Construction typically combines an impact-resistant housing, often IP-rated for field use, with shrouded CAT-rated test leads, fused current inputs and protective sockets. Benchtop units add higher digit counts, stable references and interfaces. Options commonly include backlit displays, data hold, min/max and relative modes, logging, and USB, Bluetooth or RS-232 connectivity.

Configuration choices that matter at inquiry stage include CAT rating and voltage class, true-RMS versus average-responding, count/accuracy grade, clamp jaw size and current range, and whether traceable calibration is required at delivery. Himalay's verified manufacturer partners supply multimeters and clamp meters with test reports and CoC, CE (LVD/EMC), and RoHS/REACH, with SABER (Saudi Arabia) coordinated as part of the standard order flow; ISO/IEC 17025 calibration and traceability or factory acceptance testing are arranged where specified.
