LCR Meters
LCR meters measure the inductance (L), capacitance (C) and resistance (R) of passive components and materials, together with derived parameters such as impedance, quality factor (Q), dissipation factor (D) and phase angle. They are core instruments for component manufacturing, incoming inspection, R&D and quality laboratories, and are a focused sourcing item for EU and GCC electronics manufacturers, test houses and distributors.
The family includes hand-held LCR meters for field and production checks and benchtop precision LCR meters and impedance analyzers for laboratory work. Key specification parameters include test-frequency range (from around 100 Hz to 100 kHz on mid-range units, and into the MHz range on high-end instruments), programmable test signal level, basic measurement accuracy (often a fraction of a percent), measurement range for L, C and R, and equivalent-circuit (series/parallel) selection. Safety is governed by IEC 61010-1; EMC under IEC 61326-1.
Construction ranges from compact hand-held housings with Kelvin (four-terminal) test leads to benchtop instruments with guarded four-terminal-pair fixtures that minimise lead and contact errors.
