Instrument Clusters
Instrument clusters are the driver-facing display modules that present speed, engine and battery status, warning telltales and increasingly full digital graphics. They combine display hardware, a microcontroller, communication interfaces and a sealed housing into a single dash-mounted unit. Buyers across the EU and GCC source clusters for OEM and specialist vehicle programs, two- and three-wheelers, commercial vehicles and validated replacement supply.
Clusters are generally specified by display type (analogue gauges with telltales, hybrid, or full TFT/LCD digital), display size and resolution, supply voltage (12/24 V), communication bus (CAN/CAN-FD, LIN) and connector. As driver-information electronics they reference UN/ECE R10 (EMC), relevant tell-tale and lighting conventions (e.g. ISO/ECE symbol requirements), AEC-Q-qualified components and ISO 16750 environmental loads; IATF 16949 quality systems are typical at qualified suppliers.
Construction includes a TFT or segment display, stepper-motor gauges where used, LED backlighting and telltales, a PCB with conformal coating, and a sealed plastic housing with an optical-bonded or anti-glare lens. Materials and optical design govern legibility and durability.
Options include configurable graphics and themes, multi-language menus, telltale-symbol sets to regional conventions, ambient-light and night-mode dimming, and program-specific connector keying and CAN/LIN signal mapping.
