Infotainment Systems
Automotive infotainment systems are the in-vehicle head units and media modules that combine a touchscreen, audio, connectivity and navigation with smartphone integration such as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. They bring together display, compute, radio/connectivity and audio hardware in a dash-mounted unit. Buyers across the EU and GCC source infotainment for OEM and specialist vehicle programs, fleet upgrades and validated aftermarket supply.
Systems are generally specified by screen size and resolution, processor/OS platform, supply voltage (12/24 V), connectivity (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB, optional 4G/LTE, GNSS), audio channels/amplifier and vehicle-bus interface (CAN/LIN). As vehicle electronics with radio functions they typically reference UN/ECE R10 (EMC), applicable radio-equipment requirements (EU RED 2014/53/EU for wireless), AEC-Q-qualified components and ISO 16750 environmental loads; IATF 16949 quality systems are typical at qualified suppliers.
Construction includes a capacitive touch TFT, an SoC-based mainboard with conformal coating, RF/antenna interfaces, audio output stages and a sealed housing with automotive connectors. Materials and thermal design govern reliability in the dash environment.
Options include reverse-camera and ADAS-display inputs, steering-wheel-control integration, DAB/FM and optional cellular tuners, GNSS navigation, multiple connector/harness adaptions, and software/UI and language customisation to the target market.
Himalay's verified manufacturer partners supply infotainment systems with test reports/CoC, IATF 16949 quality systems, CE/RoHS and REACH declarations, and SABER (Saudi Arabia) coordinated as part of the standard order flow; EMC and radio (RED) test reports, environmental testing and software validation arranged where specified.
