  • Axial Flow Systems

Axial flow systems move air parallel to the fan shaft and are the workhorse of high-airflow, low-to-moderate-pressure ventilation: building and warehouse ventilation, tunnel and car-park air movement, cooling-tower and condenser duties, dryers, and general process cooling. Because the air passes straight through the impeller, axial designs deliver large volumes (m3/h or CFM) efficiently at modest static pressure (Pa), making them the default where ducting resistance is limited.

The family includes basic propeller and wall-mounted fans, tube-axial and vane-axial fans (the latter using guide vanes to recover pressure and raise efficiency), bifurcated fans for hot or contaminated air, jet/impulse fans for tunnels and car parks, and adjustable-pitch designs for tuned duty. Aerodynamic ratings are typically established to ISO 5801 or ANSI/AMCA 210. EU-market units commonly use IE-class motors (IE3, or IE2 with an inverter, IE4 in higher bands per Regulation (EU) 2019/1781) and meet ErP/Ecodesign where in scope; smoke-extraction duties may add EN 12101-3 high-temperature classification, and hazardous areas require ATEX-rated builds.

Construction spans steel, aluminium-alloy or cast impellers, galvanised, coated or stainless casings, IP-rated motors (often direct-drive), and balanced rotating assemblies. Mounting can be ducted, wall, roof or bifurcated, with options for variable or adjustable pitch and EC/variable-speed control.

Himalay's verified manufacturer partners supply axial flow systems with performance test reports and CoC, CE under the applicable directives (LVD/EMC, Machinery, ErP where in scope), RoHS/REACH, and SABER (Saudi Arabia) coordinated as part of the standard order flow; smoke-extraction or witnessed performance testing arranged where specified.
