Accessories & Mounting Systems
Accessories and mounting systems are the structural and ancillary hardware that suspend, position and support surgical, examination, procedure and phototherapy lights. They are not luminaires themselves, but their mechanical integrity, balance and compatibility determine how safely and precisely the lights they carry can be used over a long service life.
The group includes ceiling mounting plates and suspension tubes, spring-balanced and articulated arms, central axes and yokes, wall and rail brackets, mobile trolleys/stands, sterilisable handle covers, camera and monitor mounts, and supply boxes. Because these items support active medical devices, buyers usually require them to be compatible with the parent luminaire's IEC 60601-1 installation requirements and rated for the relevant load, reach and ceiling-height range. Key commercial parameters are load capacity, arm reach and range of motion, suspension-tube length for a given ceiling height, drift-free positioning and finish.
Construction centres on aluminium and stainless components with cleanable, corrosion-resistant finishes suited to repeated disinfection, gas-spring or friction-balanced joints, and standardised interface fittings. Items that carry no electrical function are typically non-device hardware, while integrated supply or control elements follow the parent device's classification under EU MDR 2017/745, as determined by the manufacturer.
Configuration options usually include ceiling/wall/rail/mobile interfaces, a range of tube lengths and arm reaches, single or multi-light yokes, and camera/monitor add-ons. Himalay's verified manufacturer partners supply lighting accessories and mounting systems with test reports/CoC, CE (relevant directive where applicable), RoHS/REACH, and SABER (Saudi Arabia) coordinated as part of the standard order flow; load test reports or factory acceptance testing arranged where specified.
