- Broadly, bevel and helical-bevel right-angle units favour efficiency (often 90-98% per stage) and stiffness, suiting continuous-duty and higher-power drives; worm right-angle units are more compact at high ratios and can be self-locking, but typically at lower efficiency and with more heat to dissipate. - What's the typical MOQ for right-angle gearboxes?
- It depends on frame size and ratio. Larger industrial right-angle units can start as low as 5-15 pieces per size/ratio, whereas small standard frames typically carry MOQs in the 25-100 piece range. Mixed-size orders consolidated under one spec package usually accept smaller quantities per line. Treat figures as indicative until a partner is matched to your drawing.
- Which certifications and test reports can be provided?
- Where specified, partner manufacturers can supply units under ISO 9001 with gear-rating to AGMA / ISO 6336, plus load, running and efficiency test reports and material traceability. CE marking under the Machinery Directive can be coordinated for EU shipments, and ATEX/IECEx execution arranged for hazardous-area duty. The exact documentation set is confirmed against your specification at inquiry stage.
- What ratios, mountings and lubrication options are available?
- Bevel stages run roughly 1:1 to 6:1, with helical-bevel and worm builds reaching higher reductions. Output is offered as solid or hollow shaft, with foot, flange (B5/B14) or shaft-mounted arrangements and IEC/NEMA motor adapters or free input shafts, in multiple mounting positions. Lubrication is mineral or synthetic PAO (ISO VG 220/320), often lifetime-filled on smaller frames. Service factor is selected per AGMA guidance for your load class.

- Catalogue and lightly configured right-angle units typically take around 4-8 weeks to manufacture, test and pack; engineered or large-frame units commonly run 10-16 weeks. Full CIF to Rotterdam, Antwerp, Jebel Ali or Dammam is generally 8-12 weeks door-to-door for standard product and 14-20 weeks for engineered specials, subject to confirmation.
