    Gearboxes for agricultural machinery like rotavators, PTOs, and harvesters.

    Agriculture gearboxes are right-angle and in-line gear drives that adapt the tractor power take-off (PTO) to the speed, torque and direction an implement needs. Most are 90-degree bevel-gear units that take a 540 or 1000 rpm splined PTO input and redirect it through a spiral-bevel or straight-bevel set to a horizontal or vertical output, either stepping speed down for high-torque tillage or up for high-speed rotors and cutters. Reduction (or step-up) is set by the bevel gear pair, typically in the range of about 1:1 to 1:3 per stage, with multi-stage and parallel-shaft variants for larger machines.

    The family spans rotary-tiller and rotavator gearboxes, multi-speed PTO drives, harvester header and threshing drives, mower, mulcher, post-hole-digger, feed-mixer and irrigation-pump gearboxes. Bevel and helical gearing is commonly cut to ISO 1328 / AGMA 2015 quality grades and load-rated to AGMA 2001/2101 or ISO 6336 where engineering data is required.

    Construction centres on case-hardened alloy-steel gears (20MnCr5, 20CrMnTi or 18CrNiMo7-6), gas-carburised, quenched and ground or lapped, running in rigid grey cast-iron or ductile-iron housings; aluminium housings appear on lighter machines for heat dissipation. Tapered roller bearings, oil seals and IP65-class sealing suit dusty, wet field conditions, with mineral or PAO ISO VG 220/320 lubrication.

    Units are configured by ratio, input spline (1-3/8" Z6 or Z21, 1-3/4" Z20), shaft or flange output, mounting and shear-protection options.     When should I specify a bevel PTO gearbox vs a planetary or parallel-shaft drive?
    For most tractor-mounted implements a right-angle spiral-bevel gearbox is the natural choice: it redirects the 540/1000 rpm PTO through 90 degrees, handles moderate ratios (roughly 1:1 to 1:3) and is compact and cost-effective. Choose parallel-shaft or multi-stage helical drives when you need larger reductions, in-line layout or higher continuous power; planetary units suit very high torque in a small envelope, such as wheel and track drives, but cost more and are rarely needed for tillage and PTO duties.
    What's the MOQ for agriculture gearboxes?
    It depends on frame size and ratio. For small standard PTO and tiller gearboxes, typical MOQ starts around 100-300 pieces per configuration because tooling and casting amortise over volume. For larger or specialised harvester and feed-mixer units, batches as small as 25-50 pieces per size are usually workable. Mixed-size orders consolidated into one spec package can accept smaller quantities per line; confirm against the partner once your spec is shared.
    Which certifications and test documents can be provided?
    Where specified, partners supply CE declarations under the Machinery Directive, ISO 9001 quality-system certificates, material and heat-treatment traceability, and gear load or efficiency test reports. Gear quality grade to ISO 1328 / AGMA 2015 and load rating to AGMA 2001/ISO 6336 can be documented where engineering data is required.     What inputs, outputs and ratios can be configured?
    Inputs are typically splined to 1-3/8" Z6, 1-3/8" Z21 or 1-3/4" Z20 to match common 540/1000 rpm PTO shafts, with adaptor sleeves where needed. Outputs are available as solid or hollow shafts, flange or foot mountings, in single or multiple directions. Ratios are selected from roughly 1:1 to about 1:3 per bevel stage; multi-speed and reversing variants, plus shear-bolt or slip-clutch overload protection, can be specified.

    How long does an agriculture gearbox order take?
    Catalogue PTO and tiller gearboxes already tooled: roughly 4-8 weeks manufacture, test and packaging, then sea freight. New or engineered units needing patterns and gear cutting: typically 10-14 weeks. Full CIF to Rotterdam, Antwerp, Jebel Ali or Dammam is generally 8-12 weeks door-to-door for standard items and 14-20 weeks for engineered or large-volume specials.
